Have you ever started making a craft, get carried away, and end up with way more of the stuff than you planned? Yeah… that would be me with these egg bunnies…
Now I have a ‘family’ of them sitting on my windowsill to stare at creepily when washing dishes. They seriously could not be easier (and cuter!) to make!
I started with plain plastic craft eggs from Michaels and the following items:
white pom poms, felt, tacky glue, sharpie, scissors
(Here’s a picture of the packaging for the readers who were looking for the craft eggs):
I used a piece of felt for the ears, which I folded to get two exact pieces. Then they were glued on with tacky glue.
They face was just drawn on with a sharpie pen. :)
And of course the bunny tail was a pom pom (which was again glued on).
That’s it! Here it’s sitting on (yet another ridiculously easy craft:) my wooden egg holder.
Remember I mentioned getting carried away and making more than planned? umm.. they just kept multiplying, those pesky rabbits!
The one with short grey ears looks like a little old bald man. haha!
And I didn’t stop there… Somehow these egg rabbits started morphing into a strange roly-poly version of our family (with the old bald man ended up being ‘my son’. haha)
With the pink-eared one being our newest addition… in egg form.
Now my son loves playing with these bunnies all the time (making me relieved they’re not real eggs, seeing how he whips these around like crazy). see that little hand of his?
There you have it. They all took under 5 minutes to make, and now we’re feeling a bit more Easter-y with these bunny eggs!
I hope your week is going wonderfully! We just got a bunch of snow dumped on us (and are expecting it to be around 15-25 cm by tomorrow)… Spring could not get here any sooner!
This guy agrees! ;)
