To do this, all you have to do is make a template on a folded piece of paper & cut it out...
you'll end up with something like this (I was going for the baby bib look).
Then trace it onto the back of scrapbook paper (which I used), cardstock, or whatever else you want, and cut it out.
Next, cut on a slant into the hole so it's easy to place onto the closet pole.
Lastly, with a marker, organize away (I decided to go with a yellow theme to give my blue closet a bit of a colour-punch).
Then hang, and get giddy over all the little-person clothing that's filling the closet (and do a happy dance like I did ;)
easy. peasy.
Hope you are having a marvelous day!

Love these closet organizers. Will have to remember this for my next one. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice and simple way to organize all the baby clothes my daughter-in-law will be receiving as gifts (their first baby is due the end of May). I'm going to make these for her. Thanks for sharing. :-)
This is a fabulous idea - and so cute too!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I want to start buying baby things too...and I'm not even thinking of getting pregnant quite yet! lol

I like that you made them out of cardboard/paper. I was just thinking of how I could track down some kind of wooden thing to make this out of, but this is much much better and achievable with things i have on hand.
ReplyDeleteWhile I admire DIYers I often don't do it myself. I'm like Sandra Lee from Semi-Homemade. I can stretch myself to do a little DIY, but not the whole building works. That's why I love you're idea so much. It's simple! For people like me I might even become adventurous and I can actually say I'm a DIYer. Though the cost of closet dividers for baby clothes is not that much, this is a great alternative if you realize that you have two much of one size and need to break it down from 6-12 months to 6-9, 10-12, and 12-1T. The premade closet dividers don't always allow you that kind of flexibility.
