Happy belated Canada Day for those Canucks reading!! And a happy Fourth of July to all of my American readers :) To celebrate our patriotism, my hubby and I spent the day painting our outdoor patio area, and shopping at Target for a patio set (nothing like celebrating Canada Day by pumping our dollars into a good ol’ American franchise. Hey, I’m not one to discriminate, so I support Target 1000%!) ;)
Well, we ended up sitting outside with cozy blankets, and talking while fireworks went off in the sky… a great way to celebrate, I think. :)
Before I ramble your ear off, onto the big kahuna…
This was our second basement renovation (here’s our previous one), so we’re no strangers to spending days underground like moles, trying to think of every permutation on making small spaces more open & feel less like a hobbit hole (unless you’re into that).
If you remember back to my previous post about the basement living room, first impressions were that it looked (and smelled) like a damp cottage; uh, the ’60s called, they want their wood paneling back.
We’ll trade breathing in dry wall dust for some west coast air (at least for now…) ;)
