A look through my shopping bags.

Happy Friday!

Before I kick off a weekend of fundraiser-walking for a great cause and spending my other free time with the other half, I just wanted to share some of my latest purchases & thrift store finds.

I love these small notebooks I found at Chapters Indigo in the clearance section. They were marked down from $8 to $2 apiece! I was seriously tempted to buy one in every design!

I picked this up for a friend whose birthday is coming up. She is facing an exciting summer ahead of traveling to China & India, so this seems a bit fitting.

I found this little guy in my local Goodwill. The hole in his head seems a bit small for pencils… toothpicks? Either way, he is in dire need of a good spray painting :)
Another neat thrift store find: a plastic bamboo cup. All it needs is paint to disguise it’s 80s flair, and it’s ready for pencils/straws/paint brushes… you name it.

My absolute favourite discovery this week is this delicate metal Japanese music -jewelry box. It not only has adorable feet on the bottom,
but the lid has a stunning picture cast in mixed metals.

The felted inside is in really good shape as well, but unfortunately the music only plays when the metal stick is held up (which isn’t too bad because the music is one of the prettiest tunes I’ve ever heard & makes the effort worth it). $4 was well spent on this one!

And finally, I found this really beat up metal tray for $2.
I don’t know if I’ll beat it back up into shape and paint it or Brasso it, but I really like the Greek lines on it.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the tour of my ‘junk’ (as my loving husband likes to call it! ;)
Have a fantabulous weekend!!
